About

Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club is a premier public golf destination owned and operated by the Hoffman Estates Park District.

This magnificent 18-hole, par-70 course offers a superb blend of challenge and playability for golfers of all skill levels. First opened in 1972, the course underwent a multi-million dollar reinvention in 2011, transforming the layout with re-configured fairways, new lakes, and the addition of multiple tee boxes. This preserved the classic Killian-Nugent architecture while emphasizing strategic shot-making throughout, including the highly-acclaimed and notoriously tough “Final Charge”—our closing trio of holes.

Beyond the championship course, we offer a vast, lighted driving range featuring Toptracer Range technology, state of the art EZ-GO golf cars equipped with TFM GPS systems, an ADA cart accessible to wheelchair-bound golfers, a complete learning center, and a dedicated team of PGA professionals.

Our beautiful banquet facilities, complete with a majestic gazebo and stunning panoramic course views, also make us a favorite venue for weddings, special events, corporate meetings, and golf outings.

With its tight fairways, numerous water hazards, and undulating greens, the course requires precision off the tee, accurate approach shots, and a proficient short game. Course upgrades completed in 2011 include multiple new tee boxes, enhancing its appeal to golfers of all standards, a modified layout, and the addition of numerous new bunkers and water features.


In addition to our state-of-the-art Toptracer practice range, Bridges of Poplar Creek's golf facilities also include a premier chipping practice area and 9,100 sq ft putting green. For anyone keen to improve their scorecard, working on the short game is a must-do.

Toptracer Golf Range

Year-Round Facility

In addition to the course, Bridges of Poplar Creek also offers golfers ample opportunity to work on their game. The Toptracer Range provides real-time ball tracking technology, providing golfers with instant feedback on speed, distance, spin, and curve.


If you're in the mood for more fun, Toptracer also allows golfers to play fun interactive games while still satisfying the urge to practice.


For serious year-round golfers, Toptracer also runs several leagues throughout the year, including four-person scrambles, night-time leagues, and couples leagues.

Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club is not only a premier golf destination but also a highly sought-after full-service venue for weddings, banquets, and special events. The Venue & Capacity

  • Guest Capacity: The main banquet space, the Poplar Banquet Room, can comfortably host up to 200 seated guests for a reception. The total event space is approximately 8,200 square feet.

  • Aesthetic: The venue features a spacious clubhouse with simple, elegant décor and large windows that provide breathtaking panoramic views of the championship golf course and the Outdoor Ceremony Area.

  • Private Bridal Room: A private bridal suite is available for the wedding party to use for preparation and final touches.

Signature Outdoor Ceremony Space

The venue is renowned for its picturesque outdoor ceremony site:

  • Location: The Outdoor Event Area is set on a beautifully manicured lawn.

  • Features: It includes a majestic gazebo, a waterfall, and scenic ponds, offering a lush and romantic backdrop for ceremonies and photos. This is the source of the "Bridges" name, which provides excellent photo opportunities.

  • Ceremony Fee: There is a separate fee for the use of the Outdoor Ceremony Area, typically around $1,750, which includes the setup of white garden chairs and the use of the space for rehearsal.

All-Inclusive Wedding Packages

Bridges of Poplar Creek offers comprehensive wedding packages designed to make planning effortless. A standard package typically includes:

  • Catering: Full-service catering with customizable options, including plated meals, buffets, and food stations.

  • Bar Service: Typically includes a 4.5-hour call brand bar service, a champagne toast for all guests, and wine service with dinner.

  • Amenities: Butler-passed hors d'oeuvres, salad course, entrée course, customized wedding cake (often partnered with a local bakery), and a coffee station.

  • Included Details: White tablecloths, linen napkins, centerpieces (mirrors and candles), place card, and gift tables.

  • Photo Access: Scenic golf course photos with the use of golf carts (timing is typically after 5 PM and weather permitting).
